"The Door: A Woman's Journey from Domestic Violence Victim to Survivor" was accepted and is now on the International Museum of Women website in their Exhibiting You exhibit showcasing art from around the world! It can be viewed here: http://www.imow.org/community/stories/viewStory?storyId=2990. Please register/login and give the exhibit a 4-star rating by clicking on the fourth star. The stories with the highest ratings will get the most visibility on their site. The Door will be at the Flint Cultural Center the week of March 30th for the Genesee County Health Department's Public Health Week Conference held on April 1st and April 2nd. The Flint Cultural Center is located at 1198 Robert T. Longway Blvd, Flint, Michigan. The opening reception will be April 3rd at 7 pm and the exhibit will run through April 16th. The building hours will be 7 am to 2 am throughout this period. ArtPrize, the world's largest art competition (www.artprize.org) where the winner is determined solely by the voting public. The Door will be hosted by the Fountain Street Church located at 24 Fountain Street NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. An opening reception will be held at the church on September 22nd from 5 - 7 pm. |
